As the end of 2026 draws near, we reflect on the survival and strength of the people of Taranaki and how we can apply this resilience to our leadership and kura.

We are honoured to have Dr Ruakere Hond joining us as a Keynote speaker, bringing deep insight into te reo Māori revitalisation, leadership, community development, and education.

Leanne Otene, Tumu Whakarae (National Director) of Te Arahou o Aotearoa, will lead a powerful morning of kōrero as we hear from local iwi and reflect collectively on the learnings from throughout the hui.

The morning will also include both a local Māori councillors panel and a local MAC tumuaki panel, creating space for rich discussion, shared experiences, and collective visioning as we think critically about our kura, our leadership, and our kaupapa.

We expect the day to be finished up by 1.15pm for those to make regional flights/travel home.
